Clay Simpson
Clay Simpson is a lifelong Wyoming resident and U.S. Army veteran who enjoys spending his free time relaxing with his wife Megan, riding his motorcycle, competing in shooting sports, and travelling. He is known for his resilience, strategic planning, and effective communication, which have been essential in providing high quality representation for his clients.
Clay served five-years on active duty as a U.S. Army Infantryman where he was quickly promoted to the rank of sergeant and given the role of squad leader. His military service has instilled in him a profound sense of duty, integrity, and leadership, which he brings to his legal practice. He is particularly passionate about advocating for civil rights, criminal justice, and policy reform, demonstrated through his involvement with various legal and advocacy organizations.
After the military, Clay returned to his hometown of Laramie, WY and completed his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish. Following graduation, Clay went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school, Clay blended his passion for the law, his military experience, and his drive to assist those in need by cofounding the Wyoming Military and Law Society, a student group committed to assisting and bringing together veterans and other military affiliated students in higher education.
He is a dedicated and skilled legal professional with a diverse background in both criminal and civil law. His extensive experience includes roles at the UWYO Defender Aid Clinic, the Rocky Mountain Innocence Center, and the Laramie City Attorney’s Office. Clay has a strong foundation in legal research and courtroom advocacy, with experience in handling complex legal cases and a keen ability to work under pressure.
Clay uses his diverse background in his legal career to provide the highest level of service to his clients. His experiences and commitment to excellence make him a distinguished legal professional dedicated to serving others and upholding the principles of justice.
